The castle onn was great . English villages that really feel like old Britain. Think stone cottages, church bells, winding lanes, village greens, and pubs that look unchanged for centuries. 1. Bourton-on-the-Water - low stone bridges and honey-colored cottages. 2. Lower Slaughter - quiet, untouched, almost storybook 3. Upper Slaughter - traditional and beautifully preserved.
Amazing pub in the middle of the village. Great place to finish you tour of the town or looong walk! Soup was full of flavours. Burgers was simple but had everything, lots of meat few chips and filling enough! Overall good place well maintened for such a nice village
Enjoyed a lovely meal here. The fish & chips were plentiful and delicious. The 13th century surroundings are perfect. Friendly, attentive staff.
We visited the beautiful village during the spring half term. Lunch in the inn. The green veg is a little bit salty, apart from that perfect. Very nice food and good price for the location.
I knew it was a bit expensive, but the experience was great! We arrived at night and went straight to the bar for a bite to eat. The staff were lovely and showed us our room upstairs. We had an amazing stay! I've seen some mixed reviews, so I hope they keep their service consistently professional and friendly. Working in hospitality myself, I really value staff who are welcoming and communicate well
Me and my family visited Castle Combe on Boxing day. Even for a very busy day, we were welcomed very nicely and the hot chocolates are lovely. Very bright and cosy atmosphere and will definitely come again!
Cappuccino and Italian white wine are very excellent. Hot chocolate is too sweet. It’s a very nice place that I’d like to stay for a while.
it was a very nice stay! the room was quite comfortable, and the staff was very nice. we generally had no issues during our stay, though the service could get a little slow (during breakfast, for example). regardless, we really enjoyed our stay. thanks!
